Adoption Process – 4 Paws Rescue Foundation

All of our cats and kittens have been rescued from the streets and are looking for their furever homes!

We host a number of weekend adoption events throughout the year

Or call and set up an appointment to meet at Petco during the week

After our initial meeting, if interested in adopting the cat(s), an Adoption Agreement is then filled out.

If approved, we set up a home delivery and bring you the cat(s), the Adoption Agreement with all of the vetting on the back and help get the kitty settled into their new home.

Even after the adoptions, we are always available for questions.

95% of our adopters stay in contact with us and we LOVE getting pictures, texts and updates of the kitties!

All of our cats and kittens have been rescued from the streets and are looking for their furever homes!

The adoptable cats and kittens have been spayed/neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV (everyone is negative), flea control applied, dewormed, age appropriate vaccines and microchipped.

If eye or upper respiratory infections (URI’s) are present, medications are given.

The feral cats that have been spayed/neutered recover for a few days before they are released back and are provided food, water and any medications necessary.

Some ferals with more severe injuries ranging from lacerations, eye removal and leg or tail amputations are provided comfort for their longer recovery time.

All of the expenses, including gas to and from the sites and to the vet offices, food, litter, formula, trap covers (shredded by cats, raccoons, opossums, sprayed by skunks being caught), equipment and any other necessary medical bills are all paid out of pocket.

Besides the up-front medical costs for adoptable kittens and cats, all of their care is provided until they are adopted.

Our adoption fee helps offset some of these costs.

We receive no government funding, our rescue is funded only by your contributions.

100% of your tax deductible donation goes to lifesaving rescue efforts to spay/neuter (TNR) cats and kittens living on the streets!
